Well it's day 24 and I have hit a big milestone, the first part of the base is complete! Now onto bigger and better things, the tail section. That is why I picked the quote for my title today, I feel like I am assembling this thing section by section. Another thing that I noticed today as I was putting pieces together was that I am starting to be able to look at a parts list and remember most everything I need in terms of numbers. For example, on this part list, I thought, "2 fours, 2 tens, 2 big tens, 2 4 squares, 2 double sixes." Then what is even more interesting is that as I look through bags and boxes, I don't find myself counting dots anymore. I can just look at a piece and know that it is a 6, 10, etc. That might not seem like a big deal, but up until now, I have wasted a lot of time counting dots to make sure that I have the right pieces. Of course there are still specialty pieces that make no sense whatsoever and I just have to search them out by looking back and forth to make sure I have the right one, but things are getting a little bit easier.Work has been going well lately, not too much to talk about there other than I qualified EDO yesterday, which is nice. That's all I really have for today, now I'm off to take a shower since I didn't take one after my run this morning, then bug Butters.
